The judge at the head of the state’s sweeping school finance trial will not be stepping away from the case, in spite of a motion filed by state attorneys alleging bias and asking him to recuse himself.

In Tuesday’s Capital Tonight, we heard why lawyers for the state are asking District Judge John Dietz to step down, and how one attorney for the plaintiffs’ side is responding.

REMEMBERING A COLLEAGUE

Democrats across the state are mourning the loss of one of the party’s most vocal advocates for women in politics. Grace Garcia, the executive director of Annie’s List, died in a car accident in Waxahachie Monday. Democrat Harold Cook and Republican Ted Delisi reflected on the life and impact of her efforts to elect Democratic women in Texas.
