“It has been a great honor to represent the constituents of District 126 at the state capitol for 5 legislative sessions,” Harless said. Businessman Kevin Roberts is already said to be a “likely” candidate for the seat.
After 5 terms in the Texas House, Rep. Patricia Harless, R-Spring, announced on Monday that she will not seek reelection in 2016.
“With a peaceful heart I share with you that I will not run for re-election,” Harless said in an email to supporters. “It has been an honor and a privilege to represent the constituents of District 126 in the Texas House of Representatives.”
Harless said that when she originally ran in 2006, her goals were simple and straightforward. They included being respectful of the institution, the members, and the process.
