JARED PATTERSON LAUNCHES CAMPAIGN FOR STATE HOUSE DISTRICT 112

Today, Jared Patterson announced his intention to seek the republican nomination for the
Texas House of Representatives, District 112. A father, accomplished businessman and an
elected public servant since 2009, Jared embodies the values and talents we need to
represent us in the Texas State House.

Jared stated, “I am a Christian, a husband, a father and a conservative. My desire is to serve
the interests and concerns of the people of House District 112. Folks here are concerned
about out-of-control spending and the overreach of government into their lives. We must
act now to cut wasteful spending and protect Texas against an increasingly intrusive federal
government. Every child should have the opportunity to succeed and we need to empower
parents and school districts with the tools to ensure that success. I stand for limited
government, fiscal responsibility and family values. My priority will be to fight for and
preserve the Texas we love for future generations.”

Mayor Mike Felix of Sachse said, “Jared has fought for local infrastructure issues while
keeping government transparent and efficient. We need his expertise along with his
conservative values representing us in the Texas House.”

Josh King, Pastor of Sachse’s First Baptist Church said, “I know Jared personally as a man
of grace and integrity. I truly believe he is committed to the good of the community. He
sees the role of Representative as one of service for people and not over people. I would
be proud to have Jared represent me, my family and our district on the State level.”

Sachse residents Gary and Sheri Overby stated “Jared has the background and the tenacity
to serve as State Representative for House District 112. We have been impressed by his
dedication to fiscal responsibility and accountability during his tenure on the City Council.
We are proud to endorse Jared Patterson for State Representative.”

Over the past several years, Jared has fought tirelessly for conservative issues both as an
elected official and as a concerned citizen. He has served as a Dallas County GOP Precinct
Chair, as a delegate to the Republican State Convention and on the leadership team for the
Greater Garland Republican Organization. Jared is a member of the Republican Party of
Texas Grassroots Club, the National Rifle Association and has been involved with local
Tea Party organizations.

Jared has been married to his wife, Leslie, for five years and together they have two sons,
Reagan and Austin. Jared and Leslie met as students at Texas A&M University, where he
served as Vice President of their senior class. The Pattersons are members of Sachse’s
First Baptist Church.
