Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Tiffany Haertling of Denton as judge of the 442nd Judicial District Court in Denton County for a term to expire at the 2016 general election.

Haertling is an attorney and partner at Holmes, Diggs and Eames in Denton. She is board certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and a member and past president of the Denton County Bar Association. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas Family Law, Appellate and Computer and Technology sections. She is secretary of the Denton County Alternative Dispute Resolution Program, finance chair of the Denton County Mental Health and Mental Retardation Center Board of Trustees and a volunteer for Liberty Christian School. She is also a graduate of Leadership Denton and past chair of Denton County Adoption Day.

Haertling received a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and a law degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
