Jones upgraded
to fair condition
Former state Rep. Delwin Jones, who was admitted to Covenant Hospital in critical condition in late August, was upgraded to fair condition Monday.
Leslie Cranford, media relations coordinator for Covenant, said Monday, “He was upgraded to fair this morning. My updates are coming from the nurses — the charge nurse or nurse manager.”
She said the difference between fair and good depends on whether the patient is comfortable or uncomfortable.
“The guidelines for ‘fair,’ are vital signs are stable and within normal limits. The patient is conscious but may be uncomfortable. Indicators are favorable.”
Jones was sleeping when an A-J Media reporter visited him in the hospital, and his daughter declined to comment.
