Judge Wesley Ward

October 14, 2014 (Austin)–The Texas Civil Justice League Political Action Committee (TCJL PAC) today endorsed Judge Wesley Ward for election to the 234th District Court of Harris County.

“We are proud to endorse Judge Ward for election to the 234th District Court,” said John Fainter, Chairman of the TCJL Board of Directors and TCJL PAC Advisory Committee.  “He has served his profession, his community, and the Texas judiciary with integrity and distinction. We are fortunate to have a public servant of Judge Ward’s stature and experience in the judiciary.”

Governor Rick Perry appointed Judge Ward to the 234thDistrict Court bench in 2012. A graduate of Texas A&M University, Judge Ward earned his law degree with Honors from The University of Texas School of Law, where he earned the Niemann Cup award as the top advocate in his graduating class.  Prior to his appointment to the bench, Judge Ward practiced law in Houston. He served as Chair of the Houston Bar Association’s Litigation Section and Co-Chair of the Houston Bar Association’s Committee for Professionalism.  He has also practiced as a certified public accountant since 1993.

“Judge Ward is dedicated to the rule of law and to the fair and impartial administration of justice,” said Carol Sims, TCJL PAC Treasurer.  “He deserves our enthusiastic and unqualified support.”

Formed in 1986, the TCJL PAC supports statewide, legislative, and judicial candidates, regardless of party affiliation, who are committed to creating and maintaining a fair and efficient Texas civil justice system.  It has more than 5,000 members in Texas.
