Huberty to Seek Reelection to House District 127

HUMBLE, TEXAS –State Representative Dan Huberty issued the following statement this morning regarding his intention to run for reelection for District 127 of the Texas House of Representatives:

“It has been my honor to serve the taxpayers of District 127 for more than five years.  Now, I look forward to getting back out on the campaign trail to talk to the voters, so I can continue to serve their interests at the State Capitol.”

Huberty was first elected to the Texas House of Representative in 2010.  He has served the citizens of District 127 in the 82nd, 83rd and 84th legislative sessions.  He has seen many successes in those last three sessions in areas ranging from public education to power generation and even tax relief for small business.

“As a small business owner, I know the needs of this community and my constituents and I am hopeful that they will vote to send me back to Austin to continue fighting for them,” Huberty stated.

Huberty is extremely active in the community. He is a board member of the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce; a member of the Knights of Columbus, and the Humble Intercontinental Rotary club; in addition, he is a board member of the Be an Angel Fund, and is active in organizations for each of his children’s schools and their extra-curricular activities.

He and his wife, Janet, have been married 20 years. They live in Walden on Lake Houston with their three children, Brianna, Ryan and Dylan, and yellow lab, Rocky. They are active parishioners at Saint Martha’s Catholic Church.
