Democrat Rudy Delgado Must Discontinue His Campaign Immediately
AUSTIN, TX – 93rd District Court Judge, Rodolfo “Rudy” Delgado, announced his retirement and resignation of the bench earlier this week so he could devote his time and energy to assist his defense team.
The Democrat judge was indicted by a grand jury on three counts of federal bribery and three counts of violating the federal Travel Act. Resigning from the 93rd Court was the an ethical decision, but he is still the Democrat candidate for the 13th Court of Appeals, District 4.
Rodolfo “Rudy” Delgado should have ended his campaign for the 13th Court of Appeals as well. The Republican Party of Texas calls on Rodolfo “Rudy” Delgado to end his campaign in the same manner as his resignation from the 93rd District Court- effective immediately.
Chairman James Dickey stated, “Rodolfo “Rudy” Delgado must announce he is immediately discontinuing his campaign for the 13th Court of Appeals. He is not fit to serve as the 93rd District Court Judge, and he is not fit to serve on the 13th Court of Appeals. Our Courts must be filled by Texans who are ethical, servant leaders.”
